The Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights met in camera at 3:37 p.m. this day, in Room 308, West Block, the Chair, Shaughnessy Cohen, presiding.

Member(s) of the Committee present: Eleni Bakopanos, Michel Bellehumeur, Chuck Cadman, Shaughnessy Cohen, Paul DeVillers, Ivan Grose, Derek Lee, Peter MacKay, John Maloney, Richard Marceau, John McKay and Jacques Saada.

Acting Member present: Randy White for John Reynolds.

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Marilyn Pilon, Researcher and Philip Rosen, Senior Analyst.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108 (2), a study of the Victims' Role in the Criminal Justice System.

The Committee commenced consideration of a draft report.

At 5:16 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
