The subcommittee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to subcommittee business.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $ 6,800, for the study of the current situation in Ethiopia, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $ 6,750, for the study of the current situation in Sudan, be adopted.

ORDERED, — That, in relation to the meeting on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, the clerk, in collaboration with the Chair, be instructed to edit the video evidence of the proceedings.

It was agreed, — That the subcommittee hold one meeting to study the targeting of places and institutions of cultural significance and one meeting to study the targeting of civilian infrastructure as part of the Putin regime’s invasion of Ukraine.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the subcommittee meeting on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, one hour be dedicated to the study of the situation of the Hazaras in Afghanistan and one hour be dedicated to the study of the current situation in Sudan.

At 3:55 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 4:04 p.m., the meeting resumed in public.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the subcommittee commenced its briefing with Oleksandra Matviichuk, Chair of the Centre for Civil Liberties.

Oleksandra Matviichuk made a statement and answered questions.

At 4:31 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 4:42 p.m., the meeting resumed.
