The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

Motion

Shannon Stubbs moved, — Given that:

  • The Government is actively engaged in the process to sell the Trans Mountain Pipeline.
  • The sale of the pipeline is expected to happen over the summer, before the committee will be able to re-convene.
  • It is critical that members of this committee be apprised of the progress of the pipeline’s sale.

The committee instructs the chair to schedule five meetings between Monday, July 8, 2024 and Friday, September 13 to hear updates from departmental officials on the sale of the pipeline.

Motion

Julie Dabrusin moved, — That the debate be now adjourned.

The question was put on the motion and it was agreed to on the following recorded division:

YEAS: Charlie Angus, Julie Dabrusin, Peter Fonseca, Majid Jowhari, Peter Schiefke, Mario Simard, Joanne Thompson — 7;

NAYS: Earl Dreeshen, Ted Falk, Jeremy Patzer, Shannon Stubbs — 4.
