Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, November 2, 2023, the committee resumed its study of transparency within the Department of National Defence and the Canadian Armed Forces.

Philippe Dufresne made a statement and answered questions.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

On motion of James Bezan, it was agreed, — That the Sixth Report from the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure, which read as follows, be concurred in:
Your subcommittee met on April 17, 2024, to consider the business of the committee and agreed to make the following recommendations:
1. That the committee adopt the calendar prepared by the clerk for the committee’s schedule through the end of June 2024.
2. That witness lists for the Defence Policy Update study be submitted to the clerk no later than May 10, 2024.
3. That recommendations for the report on military housing be submitted to the clerk no later than June 19, 2024.

On motion of James Bezan, it was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $16,500, for the study of Space Defence, be adopted.

At 5:57 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
