It was agreed, — That the Fourth Report from the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure, which read as follows, be concurred in:

Your subcommittee met on Monday, September 23rd, 2024, to consider the business of the committee and agreed to make the following recommendations:

1) That the committee complete its study of coercive behaviour, for the remaining 2.5 meetings on the study.

2) That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the committee undertake a study on Breast Cancer Screening for women aged 40 for no more than two meetings; that the committee send their completed report to the Canadian Task Force on Preventive Health; that the committee report its findings to the House; and that, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the government table a comprehensive response.

3) That in relation to the study of breast cancer screening, members submit their witness list to the clerk of the committee no later than Wednesday, September 25, 2024.

4) That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the committee conduct a study, consisting of six meetings, on gender-based violence and feminicides against women, girls, and gender-diverse people, and report its findings and any recommendations to the House, and that:

1. Meetings shall begin after the study of the committee on coercive control and the study of breast cancer;
2. Suggested witness lists be submitted to the committee clerk no later than Wednesday, October 9th, 2024; and
3. Pursuant to Standing order 109, the committee request a government response to the report

1. The warning CSIS has issued about the threat of extremist violence from the anti-LGBT movement;
2. The recent policy proposals by 3 provinces that attempt to roll back 2SLGBTQI+ inclusive policies in school; and
3. The committee explore how to better support the 2SLGBTQI+ community through the 2SLGBTQI+ Federal Action Plan, the National Action Plan to Combat Hate and other federal supports.

That the committee prioritize the studies in the order listed above.

That, in relation to the study of Breast Cancer Screening for Women Aged 40, the clerk and analysts of the committee, in consultation with the Chair, prepare a news release for publication on the committee’s website, at the start of the study, and upon presentation of the report to the House.

That in the context of the study of Breast Cancer Screening for Women Aged 40, the deadline for the submission of written briefs be no later than 4:00 p.m. (EDT) on October 21, 2024, and that briefs do not exceed two pages (approximately 1,000 words).

That the testimony and documents gathered by the committee for its study on the Breast Cancer (Update) – Draft Recommendations (2024) from the Canadian Task Force on Preventive Health Care, be included in the report on the study on Breast Cancer Screening for Women Aged 40.

That, in relation to the study on Gender-based violence and femicides against women, girls and gender diverse people, the clerk and analysts of the committee, in consultation with the Chair, prepare a news release for publication on the committee’s website, at the start of the study, and upon presentation of the report to the House.

That in the context of the study on gender-based violence and feminicides against women, girls and gender diverse people, the deadline for the submission of written briefs be no later than 4:00 p.m. (EDT) November 20, 2024, and that briefs do not exceed two pages (approximately 1,000 words).
