The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the committee undertake a study on breast cancer screening for women aged 40 for no more than four meetings; that the committee send their completed report to the Canadian Task Force on Preventive Health; that the committee report its findings to the House; and that, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the government table a comprehensive response.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the committee undertake a study on sexual violence against women and girls as a weapon of war, with a focus on the experiences of survivors who immigrated to Canada from conflict areas or war zones, and what access they have to mental health supports in Canada; that the committee hear from witnesses for four meetings; that the committee report its findings to the House; and that, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the Government table a comprehensive response to the report.

It was agreed, — That the committee schedule no more than two meetings with experts to respond to the call for public comment on the Breast Cancer (Update) – Draft Recommendations (2024) from the Canadian Task Force on Preventive Health Care.

It was agreed, — That in relation to the committee’s consultations with experts regarding Breast Cancer (Update) – Draft Recommendations (2024) from the Canadian Task Force on Preventive Health Care, members be invited to submit witness names to clerk by no later than Friday, June 7, 2024.

ORDERED, — That, the analysts prepare a letter highlighting expert testimony regarding breast cancer screening for the Canadian Task Force on Preventive Health Care, in response to their call for public comment on Breast Cancer (Update) – Draft Recommendations (2024).

At 11:55 a.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 11:59 a.m., the meeting resumed.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, November 27, 2023, the committee resumed its study of Red Dress Alert.

The committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

At 1:01 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
