Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, the committee resumed its study of Canada’s proposed biocides regulation: trade impacts for certain Canadian sectors.

The witnesses made statements and answered questions.

At 12:27 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:30 p.m., the sitting resumed.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

Motion

Mona Fortier moved, — That the committee proceed to a pre-study of Bill C-57, An Act to implement the 2023 Free Trade Agreement between Canada and Ukraine, beginning Tuesday, November 7, 2023, and that all evidence gathered as part of the pre-study be considered as evidence in the committee's full study of the bill.

Debate arose thereon.

On motion of Tony Baldinelli, it was agreed, — That the committee proceed to sit in camera.

At 12:45 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:48 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

It was agreed, — That the committee proceed to a pre-study of Bill C-57, An Act to implement the 2023 Free Trade Agreement between Canada and Ukraine, beginning Tuesday, November 7, 2023, and that all evidence gathered as part of the pre-study be considered as evidence in the committee's full study of the bill.

At 1:07 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
