The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of free trade negotiations between Canada and Ecuador, the proposed budget in the amount of $162,031.38, for the committee's travel to Ecuador in summer 2024, be adopted, and that the clerk be authorized to purchase appropriate gifts and make the necessary arrangements for meals and a reception during the committee's travel.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, October 17, 2024, the committee commenced its study of the 2026 CUSMA Review

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $14,000, for the study of the 2026 CUSMA review, be adopted.

Catherine Cobden, Ryan Greer and Lana Payne made statements and, with François Desmarais and Angelo DiCaro, answered questions.

At 4:32 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:36 p.m., the sitting resumed.

At 5:33 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
