Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, October 29, 2020, the committee commenced its study of the aircraft certification process.

Chris Moore and Paul Njoroge made statements and answered questions.

Taylor Bachrach gave notice of the following motion:

That the committee call on the federal government to launch, as early as possible, a public inquiry into Canada’s aircraft certification process and its role in certifying the Boeing 737 Max as well as Transport Canada’s actions following the Lion Air crash in 2018.

At 4:26 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:30 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Jordan Bray-Stone, Rob Giguerre and Tim Perry made statements and answered questions.

At 5:46 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
