At 11:38 a.m., the sitting was suspended.
At 11:48 a.m., the sitting resumed.
Karen Vecchio moved, — That the committee invite the following witnesses for its study on the Government’s Reasons for Proroguing Parliament in August 2020 and that these witnesses appear individually for a minimum of one hour each:
- Prime Minister Justin Trudeau
- MP Pablo Rodriguez, Leader of the Government in the House of Commons
- Katie Telford, Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister
- Bill Morneau, former Minister of Finance
That these witnesses appear before the committee within 14 days of the approval of this motion, and that the committee reserve the right to invite more witnesses as the study continues.
Debate arose thereon.
