Pursuant to the order of reference of Wednesday, May 12, 2021, the committee resumed consideration of Bill C-253, An Act to amend the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act (pension plans and group insurance plans).

The witnesses made statements and answered questions.

Motion

Sébastien Lemire moved, — That the committee proceed immediately to clause-by-clause consideration of Bill C-253.

Debate arose thereon.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, November 5, 2020, the committee resumed its study of accessibility and affordability of telecommunications services.

The committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That clause-by-clause consideration for Bill C-253 be held on Thursday, June 10, 2021.

It was agreed, — That amendments be submitted to the clerk of the committee no later than 4 p.m. on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 and distributed to members in both official languages.

At 1:03 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
