Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(h) and the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, November 16, 2020, the committee resumed its study on questions of conflict of interest and lobbying in relation to pandemic spending.

Simon Kennedy made a statement and answered questions.

At 2:03 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 2:07 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Denis Gallant, Mark Blumberg and Jeramie D. Scott made statements and answered questions.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $1,950.00, for the study of questions of conflict of interest and lobbying in relation to pandemic spending, be adopted.

On motion of Nathaniel Erskine-Smith, it was agreed, — That the committee invite to appear representatives of Pornhub / Mindgeek, namely Feras Antoon and David Tassillo, to explain the company's failure to prohibit rape videos and other illegal content from its site, and what steps it has taken and plans to take to protect the reputation and privacy of young people and other individuals who have never provided their consent.

At 3:29 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
