Pursuant to the Order of Reference of Wednesday, September 23, 2020, the committee resumed its study of Canada-China relations.

The committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

At 7:03 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 7:40 p.m., the sitting resumed.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That officials from Communications Security Establishment (CSE), the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) provide a briefing session as part of a first meeting on the topic of the national security dimensions of the Canada-China relationship.

It was agreed, — That the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, along with departmental officials, be invited to appear as part of the second meeting regarding the national security dimensions of the Canada-China relationship.

At 8:30 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
