Pursuant to the motion adopted by the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development on Thursday, February 4, 2016, and the motion adopted by the Subcommittee on Thursday, May 18, 2017, the Subcommittee resumed its study of the human rights surrounding natural resource extraction within Latin America.

The Subcommittee resumed consideration of a draft report.

The Subcommittee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Subcommittee business.

It was agreed, — That the Clerk of the Subcommittee, in consultation with the Chair, invite witnesses including UOSSM-Canada and the Syria Civil Defence (White Helmets) to appear before the Subcommittee on Thursday, 1 March, 2018 for a Briefing on the Human Rights Situation in Syria.

At 2:04 p.m., the Subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
