Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, October 24, 2017, the Committee commenced its study of small and medium enterprises (SME) in federal procurement.

Kathleen Owens, Arianne Reza and Lorenzo Ieraci made statements and, with Desmond Gray and Mark Schizkoske, answered questions.

Motion

Kelly McCauley moved, — That the Committee invite the Chair of the Working Group of Ministers on Achieving Steady State for the Pay System to provide a briefing on the working group’s progress; that the meeting be held outside of the Committee’s regular schedule if necessary; and that the meeting be held no later than Tuesday, October 31, 2017.

Amendment

Erin Weir moved, — That the motion be amended by replacing the words “Tuesday, October 31” with the words “Thursday, November 30”.

Debate arose thereon.

At 12:59 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
