| Q-20372 — November 6, 2018 — Mr. Falk (Provencher) — With respect to proposals being considered by Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada with regard to Internet services in rural areas since November 4, 2015: (a) has the department considered a proposal that would take broadband spectrum used by rural wireless providers and auction it off for 5G wireless to be used mainly in large urban centres; (b) if the answer to (a) is affirmative, (i) is the department pursuing this proposal, (ii) how many Canadian households would be affected by this change, (iii) has the department undertaken an analysis to determine the impact of a decline in Internet services in rural communities, (iv) does the department have a plan to provide alternative spectrum to existing users, (v) has the department engaged in consultations with rural Canadians and other stakeholders about this proposal; (c) if the answer to (b)(iii) is affirmative, what did the analysis determine; (d) if the answer to (b)(iii) is negative, why was no analysis undertaken; (e) if the answer to (b)(v) is affirmative, (i) what were the dates and locations of each consultation, (ii) who was consulted, (iii) what feedback was provided; and (f) if the answer to (b)(v) is negative, why were no consultations undertaken? | Q-20372 — 6 novembre 2018 — M. | M-189 — September 27, 2018 — Resuming consideration of the motion of Mr. Ayoub (Thérèse-De Blainville), seconded by Mr. Longfield (Guelph), — That the House: (a) reiterate its commitment to facilitate collaboration on an organ and tissue donation and transplantation system that gives Canadians timely and effective access to care, since every year more than 250 people, out of the 4,500 on waiting lists, die without receiving a transplant; and (b) urge the government to support national efforts with provincial and territorial authorities and stakeholders to increase organ and tissue donation rates in Canada through public education and awareness campaigns, ongoing communication and the exchange of information, including best practices. | M-189 — 27 septembre 2018 — Reprise de l'étude de la motion de M. Ayoub (Thérèse-De Blainville), appuyé par M. Longfield (Guelph), — Que la Chambre : a) réaffirme son engagement de faciliter la collaboration en vue de l’établissement d’un système de don et de greffe d’organes et de tissus qui assure aux Canadiens un accès aux soins efficace et en temps opportun, puisque chaque année, plus de 250 personnes meurent parmi les 4 500 qui sont en attente d’une greffe; b) exhorte le gouvernement à soutenir à l’échelle nationale les efforts des autorités provinciales et territoriales et des intervenants pour encourager le don d’organes et de tissus au Canada au moyen de campagnes d’information et de sensibilisation du public, d’une communication suivie et de l’échange de renseignements, notamment sur les bonnes pratiques. |
