Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, February 18, 2016, the Committee resumed its study of the Closure of the Comox MCTS Station of the Canadian Coast Guard.

The Committee commenced consideration of a draft report.

At 3:58 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:02 p.m., the sitting resumed.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the Committee undertake a comprehensive study of the conservation, restoration and socio-economic issues related to the Atlantic Salmon in Canada commencing on May 10; and that the Committee report its findings to the House.

It was agreed, — That the Committee invite Seniors Officials from the Department of Fisheries and Oceans to brief the Committee on the issues pertaining to Atlantic Salmon in Canada on Monday, May 10, 2016.

It was agreed, — That the Subcommittee meeting of May 2 be cancelled and that the meeting of May 5 be replaced by a Subcommittee meeting.

It was agreed, — That the Committee members submit their witnesses list for the study on Atlantic salmon before 5:00 p.m. on May 3.

At 4:50 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
