The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the Eighth Report from the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure, which read as follows, be concurred in:

Your Subcommittee met on Monday, January 29, 2018, to consider the business of the Committee and agreed to make the following recommendations:

  1. That, pursuant to the motion adopted by the House on Monday, January 29, 2018, the Committee undertake a statutory review of the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act; that, for this study, the Committee submit a preliminary travel submission to the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee; that the first meetings be dedicated to the hearing of witnesses from the departments and agencies involved; and that members of the Committee submit to the Clerk of the Committee, by Friday, February 16, 2018, their preliminary lists of witnesses.
  2. That the Committee dedicate one of its upcoming regular meetings to the study of the Third Report of the Advisory Council on Economic Growth.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the statutory review of the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act, the Chair submit to the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee preliminary submissions of travel to North America and Europe; and that, if necessary, the Committee meet outside its regular schedule on Thursday, February 8, 2018, to hear officials from the Department of Finance.

At 3:47 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
