Luc Berthold moved, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee invite the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food, the Minister of Trade Diversification and the Minister of Foreign Affairs to update the Committee on the situation regarding the suspension of Canadian pork imports by the Chinese government and that the Ministers appear before the Committee on or before Tuesday, June 4, 2019.
Debate arose thereon.
The question was put on the motion and it was negatived on the following recorded division:

Luc Berthold moved, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee invite the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food to discuss her trip to the G20 Agriculture Ministers meeting in Japan and update the Committee on her discussions with the Chinese Agriculture Minister regarding the canola trade crisis, and that the Minister be invited to appear for two hours on or before May 21, 2019.
Debate arose thereon.
