A Study of Aviation Safety in Canada
Ottawa, June 20, 2017 -
Today, the House of Commons Standing Committee on Transport, Infrastructure and Communities tabled its report entitled: Aviation Safety in Canada.
During its study, the Committee examined the current state of Canadian civil aviation safety. It heard testimony from 47 witnesses and received 11 briefs from stakeholders. The Committee took note from the testimony and written submissions received that Canadians benefit from a world-class civil aviation system, with a robust and improving safety culture. In its report, the Committee identifies 17 recommendations to the Government of Canada that will ensure Canada’s remains a global leader and innovator in aviation safety performance.
