Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(g), the Committee commenced consideration of Report 4, Physical Security at Canada’s Missions Abroad—Global Affairs Canada, of the 2018 Fall Reports of the Auditor General of Canada, referred to the Committee on Tuesday, November 20, 2018.

Jerome Berthelette and Ian Shugart made statements and, with Carol McCalla, Dan Danagher and Heather Jeffrey, answered questions.

At 10:05 a.m., pursuant to Standing Order 115(5), it was agreed that the Committee continue to sit.

At 10:18 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 10:19 a.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the Annual Conference of the Canadian Council of Public Accounts Committees (CCPAC) and Canadian Council of Legislative Auditors (CCOLA) Annual Conference, the proposed budget in the amount of $27,296.00, for the Committee’s travel to Niagara On The Lake, Ontario, in August 2019, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the Deputy Ministers from the Department of National Defence and the Department of Fisheries and Oceans and the Chief Executive Officer of the Parks Canada Agency be invited to appear on Thursday, March 21, 2019, concerning Report 2, Conserving Federal Heritage Properties, of the 2018 Fall Reports of the Auditor General of Canada.

It was agreed, — That the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation be invited to appear on Tuesday, March 19, 2019, concerning the Special Examination Report, Report of the Joint Auditors to the Board of Directors of Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, of the 2018 Fall Reports of the Auditor General of Canada.

At 10:23 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
