It was agreed, — That on Wednesday, April 18, 2018, the Committee commence its consideration of the draft report in relation to its study of access to early childhood services in the minority language.
It was agreed, — That the Committee hold an informal meeting with the French delegation of l'Association interparlementaire France-Canada on Monday, April 23, 2018¸ at 3:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.; and that from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., the Committee continue its consideration of the draft report in relation to its study of access to early childhood services in the minority language.
It was agreed, — That on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, the Committee continue its consideration of the draft report in relation to its study of access to early childhood services in the minority language and, should that report already be adopted, the Committee shall commence consideration of a draft report in relation to its review of support programs for official language minority community media.
It was agreed, — That on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, the Minister of Canadian Heritage appear before the Committee on the Action Plan for Official Languages 2018-23: Investing in Our Future.
It was agreed, — That the draft report be adopted.
It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "Adult Literacy and Skills Development: An Essential Component of the Education Continuum in Official Language Minority Communities".
It was agreed, — That the Chair, Clerk and Analyst be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.
It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the Committee request that the Government table a comprehensive response to the report.
ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 10:00 a.m.
It was agreed, — That the Analyst and the Clerk, in consultation with the Chair, prepare a news release for publication on the Committee's website and for distribution upon presentation of the report to the House.
It was agreed, — That the Clerk make the necessary arrangements for a press conference to be held on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 1:15 p.m. after the tabling of the Committee's report to the House; and that the Committee be represented by the Chair and a representative from each party.
At 4:58 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
