The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

At 12:02 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:13 p.m., the sitting resumed.

It was agreed, — That the Committee invite the Chief Statistician of Canada and the Deputy Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development for one (1) hour on Tuesday, March 7, Thursday, March 9, or Tuesday, March 21, 2017, depending on their availability, in relation to the study of the issues related to the enumeration of rights-holders under section 23 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

It was agreed, — That, on Tuesday, March 7, 2017, the Committee consider the draft report of its study of the Translation Bureau for one (1) hour.

It was agreed, — That the Committee invite witnesses to appear in relation to its study of the full implementation of the Official Languages Act within the Canadian justice system, on Tuesday, March 7, and Thursday, March 9, 2017, depending on the availability of witnesses.

It was agreed, — That, on Thursday, March 23, 2017, the Committee consider the draft report in relation to its study of the issues related to the enumeration of rights-holders under section 23 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

It was agreed, — That the Committee invite Air Canada officials to appear as soon as possible regarding the implementation of the Official Languages Act within Air Canada.

At 12:48 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
