Minutes of Proceedings
Alexandre Laurin by videoconference from Toronto, Ontario, George Neepin by teleconference from Thompson, Manitoba, Laura Cattari, Randy Lewis, Véronique Roy and Kory Wood made statements and answered questions.
At 10:30 a.m., the sitting was suspended.
At 10:31 a.m., the sitting resumed in camera.
It was agreed, — That the Committee extend the scope of its study of poverty reduction strategies by including mental health; that, in relation to mental health, vulnerable seniors and vulnerable youth, the Committee examine the delivery of the federal government’s mental health programs and services as they pertain to poverty reduction with a focus on innovative approaches; that the Committee devote its meetings of December 6, 8, 13 and 15 to this additional area; and that on the first meeting, the Committee hear from departmental officials.
It was agreed, — That concerning this new area of the study of poverty reduction strategies, each party send a prioritized list of witnesses, including their contact information, to the Clerk of the Committee no later than Friday, December 2, 2016 at 12:00 p.m.
At 10:45 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
