The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the Third Report from the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure, which read as follows, be concurred in as amended:

Your Subcommittee met on Monday, January 29, 2018, to consider the business of the Committee and agreed to make the following recommendations:

1. That, in relation to the study of Bill S-5, An Act to amend the Tobacco Act and the Non-smokers’ Health Act and to make consequential amendments to other Acts:

a. Members of the Committee submit their prioritized lists of witnesses to the Clerk by Friday, February 2, 2018, at 5:00 p.m.;

b. the Committee dedicate the meetings of Monday, February 12, 2018, and Monday, February 26, 2018, to hear witnesses;

c. the Committee dedicate the meeting of Wednesday, February 14, 2018, to hear the Minister of Health and departmental officials;

d. the Committee dedicate the meeting of Wednesday, February 28, 2018, to the clause-by-clause consideration of the bill.

2. That, in relation to the study of the development of a national pharmacare program:

a. the Committee dedicate the meetings of Monday, February 5, 2018, and Wednesday, February 7, 2018, to the consideration of a draft report;

b. the Committee dedicate one (1) additional meeting, if necessary, to the consideration of a draft report on Monday, March 19, 2018.

3. That, in relation to the study of Bill C-326, An Act to amend the Department of Health Act (drinking water guidelines):

a. the Committee dedicate the meeting of Wednesday, March 21, 2018, to hear the sponsor and witnesses;

b. the Committee dedicate the meeting of Monday, March 26, 2018, to hear witnesses;

c. the Committee dedicate the meeting of Wednesday, March 28, 2018, to the clause-by-clause consideration of the bill.

At 4:08 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
