That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), and based upon the witness testimonies of May 9, 2019, the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development report to the House the following:

1) That the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development call on the Government of Canada to list the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist entity under the Criminal Code and consider implementing targeted sanctions against individuals responsible for gross violations of human rights in Iran under the Justice for Victims of Corrupt Foreign Officials Act (Sergei Magnitsky Law);

2) The Committee expresses its solidarity with, and concern for, the health and well-being of Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, who is on hunger strike in Evin prison, and of Mr. Richard Ratcliffe, who is on hunger strike outside the Iranian embassy in London, UK;

3) Additionally, the Committee calls for the immediate release of all political prisoners and other persons who have been arbitrarily detained in Iran; and

4) Pursuant to Standing Order 109, the Committee requests that the government table a comprehensive response to this Report.
