Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, September 29, 2016, the Committee resumed its study of mental health and suicide prevention among veterans.

Brian Harding and Marie-Claude Gagnon made statements and answered questions.

At 4:48 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:00 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the Committee study and compare programs and support offered to veterans and their families in other jurisdictions including but not limited to NATO Allies, Australia and New Zealand.

It was agreed, — That the Clerk of the Committee, in consultation with the Chair, prepare a draft budget respecting the Committee's proposed travel, in relation to its study comparing programs and support offered to veterans and their families in other jurisdictions, for consideration by the Committee.

At 5:14 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
