The Standing Committee on Government Operations and Estimates met in a televised session at 3:30 p.m. this day, in Room C-110, 1 Wellington Street, the Chair, Pierre-Luc Dusseault, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Hon. Diane Ablonczy, Jay Aspin, Denis Blanchette, Hon. Gerry Byrne, Anne-Marie Day, Pierre-Luc Dusseault, Ed Komarnicki, Pat Martin, Hon. Gordon O'Connor and Dave Van Kesteren.

 

Acting Members present: Hon. Laurie Hawn for Hon. Ron Cannan and Ryan Leef for Bernard Trottier.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Lindsay McGlashan, Analyst.

 

Witnesses: Treasury Board Secretariat: Bill Matthews, Assistant Secretary, Expenditure Management Sector; Marcia Santiago, Acting Executive Director, Expenditure Management Sector; Steve Tremblay, Portfolio Director, Expenditure Management Sector; Christine Walker, Assistant Secretary and Chief Financial Officer, Corporate Services; Patty Zeman, Director, Corporate Sevices.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 81(5), the Committee commenced consideration of the Supplementary Estimates (B) 2013-14: Vote 95b under CANADIAN HERITAGE, Votes 1b and 10b under PRIVY COUNCIL, Votes 1b, 5b, 15b and 20b under PUBLIC WORKS AND GOVERNMENT SERVICES and Votes 1b, 15b, 20b, 25b and 30b under TREASURY BOARD, referred to the Committee on Thursday, November 7, 2013.
 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, November 7, 2013, the Committee commenced its study of departmental performance reports for 2012-2013.
 

Bill Matthews and Christine Walker made statements and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.

 

At 5:18 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
