The Standing Committee on Health met at 11:00 a.m. this day, in Room 306, The Valour Building, the Chair, Ben Lobb, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Eve Adams, Libby Davies, Hon. Hedy Fry, Ben Lobb, James Lunney, Dany Morin, David Wilks and Terence Young.

Acting Members present: Jay Aspin for Wladyslaw Lizon, Kelly Block for Wladyslaw Lizon and Matthew Kellway for Claude Gravelle.

In attendance: House of Commons: Mike MacPherson, Procedural Clerk . Library of Parliament: Havi Echenberg, Analyst.

Witnesses: Centre for Addiction and Mental Health: Peter Selby, Chief, Addictions Program. UK Centre for Tobacco and Alcohol Studies: John Britton, Professor of Epidemiology, University of Nottingham, United Kingdom. World Health Organization's Tobacco Free Initiative: Armando Peruga, Program Manager.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, October 7, 2014, the Committee resumed its study of e-cigarettes.

Peter Selby, by videoconference from Toronto, Ontario, made a statement and answered questions.

At 11:57 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:01 p.m., the sitting resumed.

John Britton, by videoconference from Nottingham, United Kingdom, and Armando Peruga, by videoconference from Geneva, Switzerland, made statements and answered questions.

At 1:01 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
