The Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee met in camera at 1:33 p.m. this day, in Room 306, La Promenade Building, the Vice-Chair, David Christopherson, presiding.

 

Members of the Subcommittee present: James Bezan, Françoise Boivin, David Christopherson, Larry Miller, Joe Preston and Merv Tweed.

 

Other Members present: Greg Kerr, Hon. Rob Merrifield and David Sweet.

 

In attendance: House of Commons: Karen Thriepland, Coordinator, Logistics Services. Standing Committee on International Trade: Paul Cardegna, Clerk of the Committee. Standing Committee on Veterans Affairs: Cynara Corbin, Clerk of the Committee. Library of Parliament: Kristen Douglas, Analyst.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 107(1), the Subcommittee resumed its study on budget submissions.
 

The Clerk gave a presentation of the financial status of the global envelope for committee activities.

 

It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee on International Trade be granted an additional $24,300 to its travel budget approved by the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee at its meeting of November 22, 2011, to travel to Brussels, Belgium and Paris, France, in relation to its study on the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) with the European Union, in the fall of 2011.

 

It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee on Veterans Affairs be granted a travel budget of $56,678.40 to travel to Vancouver, British Columbia and Edmonton and Cold Lake, Alberta, in relation to its study on the Review of the Delivery of Front-Line Health and Wellbeing Services for Canadian Veterans, in December 2011.

 

At 1:42 p.m., the Subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
