| The Committee advises that, pursuant to Standing Order 91.1(2), the Subcommittee on Private Members’ Business met to consider the items added to the Order of Precedence as a result of the replenishment of Friday, October 1, 2010, and recommended that the items listed herein, which it has determined should not be designated non-votable, be considered by the House: | Le Comité signale que, conformément à l’article 91.1(2) du Règlement, le Sous-comité des affaires émanant des députés s’est réuni pour examiner les affaires inscrites à l’ordre de priorité en conséquence des ajouts du vendredi 1er octobre 2010, et a recommandé que les affaires suivantes ne soient pas désignées non votables et qu’elles soient examinées par la Chambre : |
| M-574 — Mr. Rajotte (Edmonton—Leduc) — That, in the opinion of the House, the government should continue to address the rising financial and human costs of Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia in Canada by ensuring, now and in the future, that its programs and policy development related to this issue continue to recognize: (a) the right to dignity and compassion of patients stricken by such conditions; (b) the emotional and psychological toll on family members and friends of patients afflicted by such conditions; (c) the increasing costs imposed on public health systems by the treatment of such conditions; and (d) the role played by such civil organizations as the Alzheimer Society of Canada and Neurological Health Charities Canada in furthering our understanding of the impacts of Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. | M-574 — M. | M-559 — Mr. Braid (Kitchener—Waterloo) — That the Standing Committee on Finance be instructed to undertake a study of the current tax incentives for charitable donations with a view to encouraging increased giving, including but not limited to (i) reviewing changes to the charitable tax credit amount, (ii) reviewing the possible extension of the capital gains exemption to private company shares and real estate when donated to a charitable organization, (iii) considering the feasibility of implementing these measures; and that the Committee report its findings to the House. | M-559 — M.
