Q-6192 — November 24, 2009 — Mrs. Jennings (Notre-Dame-de-Grâce—Lachine) — With regard to the Airport Soundscape Consultative Committee for Montreal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport, of which Transport Canada is a member, and as a follow-up to the October 5, 2009 letter from the Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities to the honourable Member from Notre-Dame-de-Grâce—Lachine: (a) what have been the exact measures implemented over the last 15 years by this Committee designed to minimize aircraft noise around Montreal’s airports; and (b) what impact have these measures had on minimizing aircraft noise around Montreal’s airports?

M-468 — November 24, 2009 — Mrs. Jennings (Notre-Dame-de-Grâce—Lachine) — That, in the opinion of the House, the government should act upon the promise made by the Prime Minister during the 2006 election campaign and the recommendation of the Agent Orange Association of Canada Inc. and use the remaining unused portion of funding, approximately $48 million, previously allocated for ex-gratia payments to the victims of Agent Orange, to: (a) conduct an independent inquiry into the use of herbicides such as Agent Orange, Agent Purple, and Agent White, at Canadian Forces Base Gagetown from 1956 to 1984; and (b) conduct medical testing of any person who may have been exposed to the use of such herbicides at Canadian Forces Base Gagetown from 1956 to 1984.

M-387 — October 5, 2009 — Resuming consideration of the motion of Mr. Kramp (Prince Edward—Hastings), seconded by Mr. Tweed (Brandon—Souris), — That, in the opinion of the House, as the various waterways known as the “Northwest Passage” are historic internal waters of Canada, the government should endeavour to refer to these waterways as the “Canadian Northwest Passage”.
