Her Excellency the Governor General recommends to the House of Commons the appropriation of public revenue under the circumstances, in the manner and for the purposes set out in a measure entitled “An Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on February 26, 2008, to implement certain provisions of the economic and fiscal statement tabled in Parliament on November 27, 2008 and to implement other fiscal and economic measures”. Son Excellence la gouverneure générale recommande à la Chambre des communes l'affectation de deniers publics dans les circonstances, de la manière et aux fins prévues dans une mesure intitulée « Loi portant exécution de certaines dispositions du budget déposé au Parlement le 26 février 2008, de certaines dispositions de l'énoncé économique et financier déposé au Parlement le 27 novembre 2008 et de certaines autres mesures d'ordre fiscal et économique ».
November 28, 2008 — The Minister of International Trade and Minister for the Asia-Pacific Gateway — Bill entitled “An Act to implement the Free Trade Agreement between Canada and the States of the European Free Trade Association (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland), the Agreement on Agriculture between Canada and the Republic of Iceland, the Agreement on Agriculture between Canada and the Kingdom of Norway and the Agreement on Agriculture between Canada and the Swiss Confederation”. 28 novembre 2008 — Le ministre du Commerce international et ministre de la porte d’entrée de l’Asie-Pacifique — Projet de loi intitulé « Loi portant mise en œuvre de l'Accord de libre-échange entre le Canada et les États de l'Association européenne de libre-échange (Islande, Liechtenstein, Norvège et Suisse), de l'Accord sur l'agriculture entre le Canada et la République d'Islande, de l'Accord sur l'agriculture entre le Canada et le Royaume de Norvège et de l'Accord sur l'agriculture entre le Canada et la Confédération suisse ».

November 28, 2008 — Mr. McCallum (Markham—Unionville) — That, in the opinion of this House, the government should revise its most recent Economic and Fiscal Statement to reflect the views of the now-Prime Minister who said in this House on October 6th, 2004: “It is the government’s obligation to craft a working majority to advance its agenda by taking into account the policies and priorities expressed by the three opposition parties in the House” and “The first thing the government must do is actively find common ground with the opposition parties to better serve the Canadian population. 28 novembre 2008 — M. McCallum (Markham—Unionville) — Que, de l’avis de la Chambre, le gouvernement devrait revoir son plus récent énoncé économique et financier afin de tenir compte des opinions qu’avait exprimées le premier ministre d'alors le 6 octobre 2004 lorsqu'il a déclaré en cette Chambre : « Il incombe au gouvernement d'obtenir une majorité suffisante pour promouvoir son programme en tenant compte des lignes directrices et des priorités exprimées par les trois partis de l'opposition à la Chambre » et « La première chose que doit faire le gouvernement, c'est chercher activement des terrains d'entente avec les partis de l'opposition pour mieux servir la population canadienne ».
November 28, 2008 — Mr. Brison (Kings—Hants) — That the House call upon the government to provide Parliament with a specific list of all assets under review for disposal, as referenced in the government’s Economic and Fiscal Statement, together with an explanation of the criteria that have lead the government to conclude that such assets are expendable, with particular emphasis on the assets reportedly worth at least $2.3 billion above book-value which are to be disposed of first, in the coming fiscal year. 28 novembre 2008 — M. Brison (Kings—Hants) — Que la Chambre demande au gouvernement de fournir au Parlement une liste précise de tous les actifs qui font l’objet d’un examen aux fins d’aliénation, dont il est question dans l’Exposé économique et financier du gouvernement, ainsi qu’une explication des critères qui ont poussé le gouvernement à conclure qu’on pouvait se passer de ces actifs, en mettant surtout l’accent sur ceux dont la valeur supposée dépasse la valeur comptable d’au moins 2,3 milliards de dollars et qui seront les premiers à être éliminés au cours de la prochaine année financière.
November 28, 2008 — Mr. Kennedy (Parkdale—High Park) — That this House call upon the government to table in Parliament before December 12th, 2008 a comprehensive analysis of Canada’s troubled automotive sector; a calculation of the most likely impact upon Canada and Canadian jobs of American action to support the U.S. auto sector without corresponding action in Canada; and the principles which should shape such Canadian action. 28 novembre 2008 — M. Kennedy (Parkdale—High Park) — Que la Chambre demande au gouvernement de déposer devant le Parlement d’ici le 12 décembre 2008 une analyse exhaustive de la situation difficile du secteur canadien de l’automobile; une estimation des incidences les plus probables sur le Canada et les emplois canadiens des mesures prises par les États-Unis pour appuyer leur secteur de l’automobile si des mesures correspondantes ne sont pas prises au Canada; et les principes qui devraient servir à définir les mesures canadiennes.
November 28, 2008 — Mr. Dion (Saint-Laurent—Cartierville) — That, in light of the Conservatives’ failure to recognize the seriousness of Canada’s economic situation, and its failure in particular to present any credible plan to stimulate the Canadian economy and to help workers and businesses in hard-pressed sectors such as manufacturing, the automotive industry and forestry, this House has lost confidence in this government, and is of the opinion that a viable alternative government can be formed within the present House of Commons. 28 novembre 2008 — M. Dion (Saint-Laurent—Cartierville) — Que, devant l'échec des conservateurs de reconnaître la gravité de la situation économique et, notamment l'échec de présenter un plan crédible pour stimuler l'économie canadienne et aider les travailleurs et les entreprises des secteurs les plus durement touchés comme ceux de la fabrication, de l’automobile et des forêts, la Chambre a perdu confiance dans le gouvernement et est d’avis qu’un nouveau gouvernement viable peut être formé au sein de la Chambre des communes actuelle.
