Mr. Murphy (Charlottetown), from the Standing Committee on Public Accounts, presented the 15th Report of the Committee, “Chapter 5, Relocating Members of the Canadian Forces, RCMP, and Federal Public Service of the November 2006 Report of the Auditor General of Canada”. — Sessional Paper No. 8510-391-250.

Pursuant to Standing Order 109, the Committee requested that the government table a comprehensive response.

A copy of the relevant Minutes of Proceedings (Meetings Nos. 32 to 34, 36, 40, 44 and 58) was tabled.

Statement by the Speaker

The Speaker ruled that the Order for second reading of Bill C-415, An Act to amend the Canada Labour Code (replacement workers), standing on the Order Paper in the name of Mr. Silva (Davenport), be dropped to the bottom of the Order of Precedence on the Order Paper to allow, pursuant to Standing Order 92, the Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs to report to the House on the votable status of the item.

Messages from the Senate

Messages were received from the Senate as follows:

— ORDERED: That a message be sent to the House of Commons to acquaint that House that the Senate has passed Bill C-48, An Act to amend the Criminal Code in order to implement the United Nations Convention against Corruption, without amendment.
— ORDERED: That a message be sent to the House of Commons to acquaint that House that the Senate has passed Bill C-252, An Act to amend the Divorce Act (access for spouse who is terminally ill or in critical condition), without amendment.
