M-289 — March 15, 2007 — Mrs. Jennings (Notre-Dame-de-Grâce—Lachine) — That, in the opinion of the House, the government should declare February 7 to 14 the National Healthy Marriage Week, promote the value of the mariage institution (all marriages, religious and civil) and facilitate the teaching of family relationship skills.
M-290 — March 15, 2007 — Mr. Dewar (Ottawa Centre) — That, in the opinion of the House, the government should commit to phasing out the sale and use of incandescent light bulbs, replacing them with compact fluorescent light bulbs.
M-291 — March 15, 2007 — Ms. Chow (Trinity—Spadina) — That, in the opinion of the House, the government should urge the Prime Minister and the Parliament of Japan to: (a) pass a resolution in the Diet to formally apologize to the women who were coerced into military sexual slavery during the Second World War and were euphemized as “comfort women” by the Japanese Imperial Army; and (b) provide just and honorable compensation to these victims.
M-292 — March 15, 2007 — Mr. Dykstra (St. Catharines) — That, in the opinion of the House, the government should designate May 12 as Fibromyalgia and Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Awareness Day, raise public awareness of issues surrounding these syndromes and empower the estimated one million Canadians who suffer from these syndromes.
