The Subcommittee on the Status of Persons with Disabilities of the Standing Committee on Human Resources, Skills Development, Social Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities met at 3:36 p.m. this day, in Room 209 West Block, the Chair, Ken Boshcoff, presiding.

 

Members of the Subcommittee present: Ken Boshcoff, Carol Skelton and Robert Vincent.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Jean-Rodrigue Paré, Analyst.

 

Witnesses: Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada: Leesa Kopansky, Representative. Canadian Paraplegic Association: Linda McGreevy, Director, Fund Development. Easter Seals/March of Dimes National Council: Vanessa Pfaff, Director, Programming.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Subcommittee proceeded to a briefing session on Access 2 Entertainment Program.
 

Vanessa Pfaff made a statement and answered questions.

 

Linda McGreevy made a statement and answered questions.

 

Leesa Kopansky made a statement and answered questions.

 

At 4:16 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:20 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

 
The Subcommittee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Subcommittee business.
 

It was agreed, — That Audrey King be awarded the 2005 Centennial Flame Research Award.

 

It was agreed, — That, upon completion of her research project, Audrey King be invited by the Subcommittee to receive her award and that the Subcommittee host a reception in her honour.

 

At 4:29 p.m., the Subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
