The Standing Committee on Health met in a televised session at 3:39 p.m. this day, in Room 237-C Centre Block, the Chair, Bonnie Brown, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Bonnie Brown, Colin Carrie, Nicole Demers, Steven John Fletcher, James Lunney, Rob Merrifield, Michael John Savage and Hon. Robert Thibault.

 

Acting Members present: Hon. Don Boudria for Hon. Brenda Chamberlain and Tony Martin for Jean Crowder.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Nancy Miller Chenier, Analyst; Sonya Norris, Analyst.

 

Witnesses: Canadian International Pharmacy Association: Randall Stephanchew, Vice President; David MacKay, Executive Director. International Pharmacy Association of British Columbia: Ankur Arora, Executive Member; Dawn Polley, Executive Member.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, February 3, 2005, the Committee resumed its study on Internet Pharmacies.
 

David MacKay, Ankur Arora and Dawn Polley made statements and, with the other witness, answered questions.

 
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.
 

It was agreed, — That the Committee would hold more hearings as part of its study on Internet Pharmacies.

 

On motion of Robert Thibault, it was agreed, — That the Committee proceed to sit in camera.

 

At 5:27 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

 

At 5:28 p.m., the Committee resumed sitting in camera.

 

At 5:35 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
