Meeting No. 21
Tuesday, December 10, 2002
The Special Committee on Non-Medical Use of Drugs met in camera at 3:50 p.m. this day, in Room 112-N, Centre Block, the Chair, Paddy Torsney, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Carole-Marie Allard, Libby Davies, Dominic LeBlanc, Derek Lee, Kevin Sorenson, Greg Thompson and Paddy Torsney.
Acting Members present: Paul Szabo for Hedy Fry; Carolyn Parrish for Mac Harb.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Chantal Collin and Marilyn Pilon, research officers.
The Committee proceeded to consideration of its future business.
It was agreed, - That, notwithstanding the motion adopted by the Committee at its meeting of Thursday, October 10, 2002, the contract for the services of Mr. Louis Majeau to edit the French text of the Committee's draft reports be extended to December 2nd at an hourly rate of $70.00 to a maximum of 135 hours.
It was agreed, - That the Special Committee hold a debriefing session with refreshments related to the release of its report and recommendations the week of January 27, 2003 and that the costs be pre-paid by Friday, December 13, 2002.
At 3:53 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
