Tuesday, May 27, 2003

The Subcommittee on Marine Transportation of the Standing Committee on Transport met at 3:49 p.m. this day, in Room 269, West Block, the Chair, Roger Gallaway, presiding.

Members of the Subcommittee present: Andy Burton, John Cannis, Joe Comuzzi, Roger Gallaway, Roger Gaudet and Stan Keyes.

In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: John Christopher, Principal Analyst.

Witnesses: From the Great Lakes Pilotage Authority: Robert Lemire, Chief Executive Officer; Réjean Ménard, Clerk-treasurer.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), study of the St. Lawrence Seaway System and the Great Lakes.

Robert Lemire made an opening statement and answered questions.

At 5:00 p.m., the Subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
