The Subcommittee on Electoral Boundaries Readjustment of the Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs met at 6:06 p.m. this day, in Room 112-N, Centre Block, the Chair, Paddy Torsney, presiding.
Members of the Subcommittee present: Rick Borotsik, Yvon Godin, Marcel Proulx, Scott Reid and Paddy Torsney.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: James Robertson, Principal; John Wright, Research Officer. From the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer of Canada: André Cyr, Project Manager, Electoral Geography Division, Register and Geography Directorate.
Witnesses: From the House of Commons: Anita Neville, Winnipeg South Centre; Bev Desjarlais, Churchill.
Pursuant to the Order of Reference adopted by the Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs on Thursday, November 7, 2002, the Subcommittee commenced consideration of the matter of the objections to the report of the electoral boundaries commission for Manitoba.
Bev Desjarlais made a statement and answered questions.
Anita Neville made a statement and answered questions.
At 7:09 p.m., the Committee proceeded to sit in camera.
At 7:24 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
