Monday, March 24, 2003

The Standing Committee on Government Operations and Estimates met in a televised session at 11:16 a.m. this day, in Room 253-D, Centre Block, Judy Sgro, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Ken Epp, Paul Forseth, Robert Lanctôt, Judy Sgro and Tony Tirabassi.

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament:  Jack Stilborn, Analyst and Megan Furi, Analyst.

Witnesses: From the Office of the Information Commissioner of Canada: John M. Reid, Information Commissioner of Canada; Daniel Brunet, General Counsel.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(g), the Committee resumed its study on New Public Management and ICTs (Information and Communications Technologies) (See Minutes of Proceedings of Tuesday, January 28, 2003).

John Reid made an opening statement and answered questions.

At 12:35 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
