The
Standing Committee on Official Languages met at 3:36 p.m. this day, in Room
705, La Promenade Building, the Chair, Mauril Bélanger, presiding.
Members of the Committee
present:
Carole-Marie Allard, Mark Assad, Mauril Bélanger, Eugène Bellemare, Benoît
Sauvageau, Raymond Simard and Yolande Thibeault.
In attendance: From the Research Branch of the
Library of Parliament: Marion Ménard, analyst.
Witnesses: From the Department of Health:
Marcel Nouvet, Assistant Deputy Minister, Information, Analysis and
Connectivity Branch; Gigi Mandy, Director, Intergovernmental Affairs
Directorate, Health Policy and Communications Branch.
Pursuant to the Order of
Reference of March 20, 2003, the Committee resumed its study on the
subject-matter of Bill C-202 and on health care in both official languages.
Marcel Nouvet made a
statement and, with the other witness, answered questions.
At 4:50 p.m., the Committee
adjourned to the call of the Chair.
