Monday, November 4, 2002

The Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade met in camera at 3:40 p.m. this day, in Room 371, West Block, the Chair, Bernard Patry, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Stéphane Bergeron, Aileen Carroll, Stockwell Day, Mark Eyking, Marlene Jennings, Francine Lalonde, The Hon. Diane Marleau, Keith Martin and Bernard Patry.

Acting Member present: Dennis Mills for Irwin Cotler.

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: James Lee and Gerald Schmitz, Research Officers.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee commenced its study of North American Integration and Canada's Role in the Light of New Security Challenges (See Minutes of Proceedings of October 28, 2002, Meeting No. 2)

At 5:38 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
