The Standing Committee on Environment and Sustainable Development met at 11:10 a.m. this day, in Room 308, West Block, the Chair, The Hon. Charles L. Caccia, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Roy Bailey, Bernard Bigras, The Hon. Charles L. Caccia, John Herron, Joe Jordan, Gary Lunn, Julian Reed, Hélène Scherrer, Alan Tonks.
Acting Member present: Larry Bagnell for Andy Savoy.
In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Kristen Douglas and Tim Williams, Analysts.
Pursuant to Standing Order 39(5), Failure of the Ministry to respond to Q-91 on the Order Paper in the name of Mr. MacKay
The Chair made a statement relating to Q-91 on the Order Paper.
At 11:15 o'clock a.m., the Committee proceeded to an in camera session.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed consideration of a draft report entitled "Beyond Bill C-9: Toward a new vision for Environmental Assessment"
Tim Williams answered questions.
At 12:40 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
