The Sub-Committee on Children and Youth at Risk of the Standing Committee on Human Resources Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities met at 3:25 p.m. this day, in Room 269, West Block, the Chair, John Godfrey, presiding.
Member(s) of the Sub-Committee present: Roy Bailey, John Godfrey, Monique Guay, Anita Neville and Alan Tonks.
Acting Member(s) present: Gurbax Malhi for Tony Tirabassi.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Julie Mackenzie, Research Officer.
Witness(es): From the Department of Human Resources Development Canada: Marta Morgan, Acting Director General, Children's Policy. From the Health Canada: Nicole Lafrenière-Davies, Acting Director, Childhood and Youth Division, Centre for Healthy Human Development Population and Public Health Branch.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee commenced its study on the future of children and youth in Canada
Marta Morgan made a statement and, with Nicole Lafrenière-Davis answered questions.
At 4:53 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
