Wednesday, June 19, 2002
The Sub-Committee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee met in camera at 1:50 p.m. this day, in Room 211-N, Centre Block, the Chair, Wayne Easter, presiding.
Members of the Sub-Committee present: Mauril Bélanger, Bonnie Brown, Wayne Easter, Clifford Lincoln, Judi Longfield.
Acting Member present: Dale Johnston for John Williams.
Associate Member present: Michel Guimond.
Other Member present: Raymond Bonin.
Pursuant to Standing Order 107(1), the Sub-Committee proceeded to the consideration of budget submissions.
It was agreed, - That the Standing Committee on Aboriginal Affairs, Northern Development and Natural Resources be granted an operational budget of $312,356 for its study of the Indian Act Governance legislation.
It was agreed, - That the Standing Committee on Aboriginal Affairs, Northern Development and Natural Resources be granted a travel budget of $668,454 to travel across Canada for the period of June to December 2002, for public hearings on its study of the Indian Act Governance legislation.
At 2:10 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
