The Standing Committee on Human Resources Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities met in a televised session at 3:21 p.m. this day, in Room 253-D, Centre Block, the Vive-Chair, Diane St-Jacques, presiding.
Member(s) of the Committee present: Jeannot Castonguay, Raymonde Folco, Monique Guay, Joe McGuire, Val Meredith, Anita Neville, Carol Skelton and Diane St-Jacques.
Acting Member(s) present: Jocelyne Girard-Bujold for Paul Crête and Joe Comartin for Libby Davies.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Julie MacKenzie, Research Officer.

Pursuant to its Order of Reference of Tuesday, February 13, 2001, the Committee resumed consideration of Bill C-2, An Act to amend the Employment Insurance Act and the Employment Insurance (Fishing) Regulations (See Minutes of Proceedings, Wednesday, February 21, 2001, Meeting No. 2).
The witnesses made opening statements and answered questions.
At 5:42 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
