The Standing Committee on Natural Resources and Government Operations met at 11:14 a.m. this day, in Room 371, West Block, the Chair, Joseph Volpe, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Réginald Bélair, Serge Cardin, David Chatters, Ghislain Lebel, Carmen Provenzano, Julian Reed, Werner Schmidt, Guy St-Julien, Brent St. Denis and Joseph Volpe.
In attendance: From the Parliamentary Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Jean-Luc Bourdages et Tim Williams, Research Officers.
Witnesses: From the Sustainable Forestry & Certification Watch: Jean-Pierre Kiekens, Executive Director and Editor of Forest Certification Watch.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed consideration of its study of Canadian Forest Management Practices as an International Trade Issue.
The witness made a statement and answered questions.
At 12:13 p.m., the sitting was suspended.
At 12:14 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of its future business.
At 12:18 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
