Committee Report

Purpose of the Sub-committee 6

The Sub-committee was instructed to review, consider and make recommendations on proposals relating to Treasury Board Secretariat’s initiative on Improved Reporting to Parliament Project – Phase 2, under the following themes:

tailoring Estimates information for parliamentary needs;

streamlining and consolidating reporting;

strengthening Parliamentary review processes; and,

improving information to Parliament on the government’s expenditure plans and the use of the funds in relation to these plans.

The detailed proposals under each theme are presented under the appendix 1.
