The Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade met at 4:00 p.m. this day, in Room 112-N, Centre Block, the Chair, Bill Graham, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Sarkis Assadourian, Bill Graham, Francine Lalonde, Ted McWhinney, The Hon. Fred Mifflin, Denis Paradis, Svend Robinson, Yves Rocheleau.
Acting Members present: Eleni Bakopanos for Ted McWhinney; John Cannis for Colleen Beaumier.
In attendance: From the Parliamentary Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Gerald Schmitz, Research Officer.
Members of the Delegation from the Hellenic Republic: The Hon. George Papandreou, Minister of Foreign Affairs; H.E. John Thomoglou, Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic to Canada.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee proceeded to meet with Hon. George Papandreou, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic.
Hon. George Papandreou made an opening statement and answered questions.
At 4:37 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
